He is the Son of God

Reflection

Mary Magdalene and the disciples saw Jesus die on the cross and buried in the tomb.

He was dead.

When they realize that Jesus is risen from the dead they believed that He is the Son of God.

Imagine being there and knowing your closest friend the person you loved has risen from the dead!

A great reason to rejoice!

This story fills us with hope.

Jesus's resurrection shows us that He is the Son of God.

He is with us always and will never leave us.

That hope lives inside us to care for each other and the world we live in.

God loves us so much that He sent his only son that we might know God better.

To love and to be loved is the most powerful feeling a human being can experience.

It gives purpose to our life, and this gives us strength, and that gives us hope.

Activities

The theme this week is love because that is why Jesus died on the cross fore us because He loves us so much.

I made some hearts as put on words that branch and remind me how to love God more but you could add your own words taken fro the scripture reading or words that remind you about what you love about your life.

This is a painting based very much on the words from the scripture reading. I painted a heart in the middle of the canvas then added words from the scripture around. As you write the words this becomes a prayer too because you are refelecting on the words which are the God'd words

This is a collage using hearts but of letters and drawings and gifts that children have given me and I hold precious not for the objects themselves but the love with which they were given and the love we share.

The love we have for Jesus and from Jesus also exists in other people for us to receive and share, This reminds me of the love that exists in all of us and has been shared with me. But you might have your own pictures and writing that are important to you.

I photocopied the letters and drawings so I have still kept the originals in my memory box.

I wish you all a very Happy Easter with love Sister Mary Rose
