Jesus wants us to be Happy !
Reflection and activities based on John 11 1-45

In Sundays reading the 5th Sunday of Lent.
We hear a wonderful story.
It's a story that constantly reminds me that Jesus is our friend and is always there even when we think at times he's given up on us.
Mary and Martha were two of Jesus' closest friends and they had a brother Lazarus.
Sadly Lazarus was very ill.
Although Mary and Martha had sent word to Jesus to come and heal their brother Jesus didn't come immediately.
Gospel John 11 1-45
Jesus hadn't forgotten about Mary and Martha.
He loves them very much as He loves us very much and hasn't forgotten about us.
He asks for Lazarus to be taken from the tomb and brings him back to life.
It reminds us too that when we are in pain and suffering Jesus is suffering but He is there with us making us stronger and enabling us to be happy again.
This story is very much a foretelling of the joy that we will live through on Easter Sunday when Jesus rose again.
Imagine being there,
How wonderful to witness!
But we can witness this too in our lives today we have to be patient.
Jesus knows and cares about us and is working through us to help others get better.
This is extraordinary times.
We have to hold on tightly to Jesus through prayer and reading the Bible and being kind and trust that things will get better they will because Jesus wants us to be happy.
So the activities you might like to try this coming week.
A Happpiness picture a picture of you in your garden of Happiness and all the things that make you happy.
Happiness Pebbles collect some pebbles and paint or draw all the things that make you happy.
A Happiness book each day write three things and draw pictures of things that have made you happy.
We need to focus on what brings us joy in turn that brings us closer to Jesus.
