Our Lady is a constant source of support to all humanity and I love to pray to her.

In this website there are thirty one ideas that will hopefully encourage you to pray and spend a little time with Mary.

In the strength and patience Our Lady had to bear witnessing Jesus's sufferings she is a perfect role model. I look to her for solace and patience when life can get tough as you see the suffering that exists.

I believe Mary is there supporting us in our relationship with Jesus taking our prayers to Him.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) teaches us that Mary is our spiritual mother

“in the order of grace” and “by her manifold intercession she continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation” (CCC, 969).

St. Maximilian Kolbe said

“Never be afraid of loving the Blessed Virgin too much. You can never love her more than Jesus did.”

St. John Paul II, in Redemptoris Mater

(The Mother of the Redeemer), stated: “Before anyone else it was God himself, the Eternal Father, who entrusted himself to the Virgin of Nazareth, giving her his own Son in the mystery of the Incarnation” (39).

At the Annunciation, Mary’s — deep faith and her agreement to God’s holy will— was the response that God the Father longed to hear —— in order to bring his promised Son and salvation to a fallen world.

St. Louis de Montfort,said:

“The salvation of the whole world began with the Hail Mary.

Hence the salvation of each person is also attached to this prayer.”

Mary’s witness throughout the Gospel is one of faith and continual prayer,

Mary is a true and first disciple and a model of faith for us.

St. Augustine said :

“Mary is more blessed because she embraces faith in Christ and because she conceives the flesh of Christ” (CCC, 506).

We are privileged to call on her name .

Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
